Sigma Alpha Iota was founded in 1903 at the University School of Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The Des Moines Alumnae Chapter was started November 17, 1935 and currently has 40 members. The Mission of Sigma Alpha Iota is to encourage, nurture and support the art of music. Those who are living in the Des Moines area are welcome to join our group anytime. We would love to have you with us.
